   Hand washing is the best way to preserve the toy’s shape and softness.

Fill a bowl or sink with lukewarm water (up to 30°C).
Add mild baby shampoo or wool detergent.
Submerge the toy and press gently to release dirt (avoid vigorous scrubbing or wringing).

2. Machine wash – only if necessary and gently
   If the toy is very dirty and hand washing does not help, you can use a gentle machine cycle:

Place the toy in a laundry bag or pillowcase to maintain its shape.
Use cold water (30°C) and a gentle spin (preferably 400–600 rpm).
Avoid fabric softeners as they can alter the texture.

3. Drying – in the air, not in a dryer
   Do not wring – instead, gently press out excess water.
   Roll the toy in a towel and press lightly to absorb moisture.
   Let it dry flat and reshape it. Avoid hanging it, as this may stretch the toy.
   Do not use a tumble dryer or radiator, as heat may damage the yarn and make it fuzzy.

   Use a damp microfibre cloth and dab gently on the dirty areas.
   Smaller stains can also be cleaned with baby wipes.
5. Storage and long-term care
   If the toy is not in regular use, store it in a dry and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight which may fade the colours.
