How to care for a crocheted yarn toy?
Here are some simple guidelines to keep your toy beautiful and clean for years:

1. Hand washing is the best option
   Hand washing is the best way to maintain the toy’s shape and softness.

Fill a bowl or sink with lukewarm water (up to 30°C).
Add mild baby shampoo or wool detergent.
Immerse the toy in water and gently press to remove dirt (avoid scrubbing or wringing).

2. Machine wash – only if necessary and gently
   If the toy is heavily soiled and hand washing isn’t enough, you can use a gentle washing cycle:

Place the toy in a laundry bag or pillowcase to maintain its shape.
Use cold water (30°C) and a gentle spin cycle (preferably 400–600 rpm).
Avoid fabric softeners, as they may alter the texture.

3. Drying – air dry only
   Do not wring – gently press out excess water instead.
   Roll the toy in a towel and press lightly to absorb excess moisture.
   Let it dry flat and reshape it as needed. Avoid hanging it, as it may stretch.
   Do not use a tumble dryer or radiator, as heat can damage the yarn and cause fuzziness.
4. Removing minor stains
   Use a damp microfibre cloth and gently blot stained areas.
   Smaller stains can also be cleaned with baby wipes.
5. Storage and long-term care
   If the toy is not in constant use, store it in a dry and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, which may fade the colours.
